Jenna's Dream
will be considering elementary and middle school students
between the ages of 6-13 for a scholarship to a local
summer theatre arts camp.
Our Mission: "To promote the development
and growth of creative energy in deserving children
and young adults through performing arts, in the belief
that the performing arts will engender enrichment, good
character, and generosity of spirit."
To that end, the scholarship award will
consist of free tuition to one session at a local summer
theatre arts camp and will be given to individual children
who otherwise would not have the means to attend. Individual
schools should determine the candidates based on the
following criteria:
-
The student has an interest in the
performing arts, or teachers and/or parents feel
that a child would benefit from exposure to the
musical theatre.
-
A financial need for assistance
with regard to this tuition exists within the student's
family (to be determined by the candidates' respective
school)
- The student is congenial and helpful.
Guidelines for awarding scholarships:
Individual schools will make recommendations for scholarship
candidates. The Jenna’s Dream Board of Directors
will make the final determination as to the recipients.
Following the selection of the winning recipients, Jenna’s
Dream will send a letter of acceptance to both the school
and the recipient.
-
Tuition for summer theatre arts
camp will be paid by Jenna’s Dream, Inc.,
directly to the camp.
-
Award recipients will be responsible
for their own transportation to and from the camp.
-
Award recipients will be responsible
for their own food.
-
Award recipients may be responsible
to provide their own shoes, costume, or costume
pieces.
-
Recipients will be required to
sign a release form regarding liability and insurance.
-
Recipients will be asked to sign
a Jenna’s Dream release form for publicity
purposes.
-
Additional information may be required
of the recipient by individual summer camps.
